Finding meaning in a world on fire with wars and cataclysms is difficult. But it is close.

Words have power. The power to heal, to inspire, to give hope. I create affirmations – little cards with unique words and phrases. They remind you of your inner strength and encourage you to take action,” the author of the Affirmations project told the National LGBTI Consortium.

Since its launch in August 2023, the author has created and distributed more than 1500 affirmations. He uses affirmations in workshops, trainings, and artistic master classes to start the “magic” process of reflection.

Some collect them in a sketchbook, some keep them under their cell phones, some use them during classes or training, and some share them with their friends – all to bring meaning to this world.

The author developed thematic affirmations for us at our request, and we are happy to share them with you! Subscribe to his Instagram and find your own!

More from the author of the project:

First of all, affirmations are a tool for positive thinking. In times of war, this skill becomes an important factor in mental health.

Positive thinking is based on the ability to reflect and act directly.

Each card is unique, drawn and written by hand, and has a word that encourages action or reminds you of something important.

Every week since August 2023, I have created a selection of affirmations that I distribute to friends, acquaintances, and colleagues.

Since then, I have created and shared over 1500 affirmations, of which 600 are unique invocations, and all the rest are custom-made or gifts.

I use affirmations during workshops, training, and art workshops to trigger the “magic” of reflection. The most important thing is that the recipients do not know which affirmations they will receive, which allows them to reflect on the moment and creates an additional atmosphere of anticipation and uncertainty.

I also distribute them to my colleagues each week so everyone can reflect, remember what is essential, and focus on specific processes to be more effective.

Someone collects them in a sketchbook, keeps them under their phone case, uses them during classes or training, and distributes them to their friends – all to make sense of this world.

In six months, I have received about 15 commissions to create personalized affirmations that carry a specific mood and touch the recipient.

I also often share stories with fundraisers for our defenders. I send an affirmation or give away one of my paintings for each donation. It has been an honor to help my friends raise money for the needs of the military.

Words matter, and I’ve seen that firsthand.
