NGO "LGBT Association "LIGA" is an organization that strives for the development of a society free of human rights violations, homophobia and discrimination.

We currently offer the following services:

Testing for HIV/HCV/HBV/Syphilis is an anonymous, free and fast testing for the most common sexually transmitted infectious diseases. Testing is carried out in our office or by appointment. The results are ready in 15 minutes. In case of a positive result, we will provide you with social support until treatment.

📌 The distribution of oral rapid HIV tests is a new method of HIV prevention that allows you to test for the virus yourself. This test requires no contact with blood.

📌 Distribution of condoms/lubricants is the easiest and most effective way to prevent STI infection. We distribute free condoms and lubricants in our office or upon request on-site.

📌 social support for PrEP/ HCT is a service that helps you to access pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) or post-exposure prophylaxis if you have had or had risky contact within the last 48 hours.

📌 Psychological counseling is a service that helps you overcome psychological difficulties related to your sexual orientation, gender identity, relationships with family, partners, friends, society, etc. We offer individual and group counseling in our office or online.

📌 community center services are an opportunity to use our space for your own needs or to communicate with like-minded people. We organize regular events for the LGBTI community, such as:

• Game Club – a meeting for fans of board games;
• Film club – watching and discussing films with LGBTI themes;
• knitting lessons – master classes on knitting hats, scarves, gloves, etc;
• Language club – English language training for LGBTI people;
• free access to the Internet – the opportunity to use our Wi-Fi or computers;
• device chargers – the ability to recharge your gadgets.

📌 the opportunity to receive food parcels is a help for LGBTI people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances due to Russia’s war against Ukraine. We cooperate with the World Food Program and receive monthly food parcels with basic foodstuffs. You can apply for a set at our office.

 

Services planned for implementation in the near future

We are also preparing to launch new services that will be available to the LGBTI community in Odesa. These are:

📌 Temporary free shelter is an opportunity to get temporary accommodation in our office if you have experienced violence, persecution or exile because of your sexual orientation or gender identity. We will provide you with a comfortable bed, sanitary facilities, food and psychological support.

📌 Provision of medicines on an as-needed basis is an opportunity to receive medicines for various diseases free of charge if you cannot buy them yourself. We will provide you with medicines if you have a prescription from a doctor.

📌 Provision of free specific laboratory tests is an opportunity to undergo additional examinations that are not included in the standard HIV/HCV/HBV/syphilis testing package. It is important that you have a doctor’s referral.

📌 Office-based family doctor consultations are an opportunity to receive quality medical care from a family doctor who understands and respects LGBTI people. We organize regular meetings with a doctor in our office, where you can get an examination, get recommendations, prescriptions and sign a declaration.

📌 Group psychotherapy is a service that helps you overcome psychological difficulties related to your sexual orientation, gender identity, relationships with family, partners, friends, society, etc. We offer group psychotherapy in an online or offline format, where you can communicate with other LGBTI people who have similar problems.
