ALLIANCE.GLOBAL, in partnership with the Centre for Public Impact Europe, is launching an ambitious educational project aimed at bridging the digital divide and expanding opportunities for LGBTIQ+ communities in the field of artificial intelligence technology.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The artificial intelligence learning programme is a completely free training course designed for members of LGBTIQ+ communities from all regions of Ukraine. The project is supported by the Google.org AI Opportunity Fund and includes the certified Google AI Essentials course in Ukrainian.

Training will take place online over two months. Eight training cohorts with a total capacity of 200 participants will be launched during 2025-2026. The first cohort starts on 3 March 2025.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Artificial intelligence is radically transforming today’s job market, changing requirements for specialists in virtually all industries. Research shows that AI skills are becoming a critically important competitive advantage regardless of the field of activity.

‘Technological progress should not leave any social group behind. Our goal is to ensure equal opportunities for LGBTIQ+ communities in accessing cutting-edge knowledge and technology’, emphasises the communications officer of the National LGBTI Consortium.

Experience from other countries shows that inclusive technology education programmes can significantly increase the competitiveness of vulnerable groups in the job market and open the path to high-paying professions.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE

The programme is designed with the needs of people who may not have previous experience with artificial intelligence or may face various learning barriers. Therefore, the organisers have provided comprehensive support:

🖥️ Provision of necessary computer equipment for those who need it

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Mentoring support from specialists in the field of artificial intelligence

🧠 Psychological consultations throughout the training period

💰 Other assistance during the educational process

The course includes both theoretical foundations of working with artificial intelligence and practical skills that participants can immediately apply in their professional activities. Upon completion of the training, each participant will receive a Google certificate, which will be a valuable addition to their CV.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

The programme is intended for members of LGBTIQ+ communities from different regions of Ukraine, regardless of previous experience in the technology sector. The organisers especially encourage participation from people from remote regions and small settlements, where access to modern technology education is often limited.

‘It’s important to understand that no prior knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence is required to participate in the programme. We start with the basics and gradually move to more complex topics, ensuring a comfortable learning process’, the organisers note.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To participate in the programme, you need to fill out the APPLICATION FORM.

After registration, candidates will undergo a brief selection process aimed at forming balanced learning groups. Selection results will be announced two weeks before the start of training.

The number of places is limited — only 200 participants will have the opportunity to undergo training during the year, so we recommend not delaying your application.
